Miami, FL (June 26, 2019) – Less than a year ago, at a significant moment in which they were receiving international recognition for their singles “Mi Mala” and “Ya No Tiene Novio”, MAU Y RICKY released “DESCONOCIDOS”, a song that has accumulated 500 million views on Youtube and for which yesterday the duo received with excitement and appreciation from their record label, Sony Music a plaque commemorating the sales of 4x Platinum in Mexico .
Through this and other significant accomplishments, Mau and Ricky have established themselves as one of Mexico’s favorites. “Desconocidos”, in collaboration with Camilo and Manuel Turizo, is a global success, generating more than 287 million streams to date in Spotify alone. The song is currently nominated in the categories “Singing In The Shower” and “This Is BTS” for Premios Juventud. In addition, the duo has also been nominated for “Scroll Stoppers” for their high interaction and engagement on social media.
With the release of “Desconocidos” and their most recent single, “La Boca” the Montaner brothers continue leaving their mark, thus creating their unique space in the Latin music industry. Throughout the month of June Mau y Ricky have been unstoppable touring across different countries in Latin America, such as Bolivia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico. Additionally, the Montaner brothers grace the June cover of Seventeen Magazine Mexico.
