Miami, FL (May 21, 2019) – Latin music’s most popular duo, MAU Y RICKY have received three nominations to Univision Network’s 2019 Premios Juventud awards, which seek to recognize the interests, trends and music preferences of Hispanic youth around the world. As they continue to shake up the music scene, the brothers will battle it out in the categories for “Scroll Stoppers” (for their high interaction and engagement across social media platforms) and “Singing in the Shower” and “This is BTS” for their international hit single “Desconocidos”.
Mau y Ricky continue to consolidate their international career, obtaining recognitions throughout all of Latin America, from a Premio Gardel award in Argentina, to two nominations in Mexico for the MTV MIAW Awards, to recognitions from their record label Sony Music Latin for surpassing 1.3 billion streams in multiple records. Their new single, “LA BOCA” has proved to be a worldwide hit, surpassing 15 million views in YouTube in only 15 days since its release, and dominating popularity charts in different digital platforms.
The brothers count with a virtual community of around 6 million followers, which react daily to their posts through social media networks, forming part of the 12 million of monthly listeners that consume their music via Spotify.
