Rolf Sanchez, emerging singer-songwriter and musician of Dominican descent, was born in Ede, Holland. He began to feed his penchant for music from a very early age, largely influenced by the Latin culture and music instilled by his Dominican mother. Today, this young singer has begun to build an audience within the music industry.
At 19 years old Rolf entered the "X Factor" competition in Holland, where the grand prize was a recording contract with one of the multinational record labels; he exited the competition in third place. Looking to stand out, Rolf sang "Yo No Se Mañana" a Latin music hit performed by Luis Enrique; the judges and audience were left pleasantly surprised. After receiving Simon Cowell’s advice to build a career singing in Spanish, Rolf realized that his instinct had always right. His popularity within the competition opened the doors to great opportunities, such as- the great honor of singing for the Queen of Amsterdam in Museumplein; becoming the face of Holland Heineken; a sold-out tour across Holland; and opening for the great Juan Luis Guerra at the biggest music festival in his country, "Pal Mundo”.
In 2014, Rolf Sanchez began to build an audience in the Caribbean and the artist was invited to the Dominican Republic to participate in a tribute performance honoring legendary composer Rafael Solano during the "Premios Soberano" Awards. In early 2015 Rolf signs a recording agreement with independent record label “Latin Pulse Group” and in March of that same year debuted in the U.S. with the single “Por Si No Te Vuelvo A Ver” (In Case I Don’t See You Again), which achieved heavy rotation on radio stations across the U.S and Puerto Rico. The song ultimately reached #1 on Billboard Magazine’s "Tropical Airplay" chart. During that same time, the artist received a nomination to Univision’s “Premios Juventud” Awards in the category for "Breakthrough Artist".
In December of 2015, Rolf Sanchez garners his second #1 single on Billboard Magazine’s “Tropical Airplay” chart with his single “Que Se Siente” (How Does It Feel), a song composed by Rolf Sánchez, Guianko Gómez, and Efraín Dávila. Simultaneously, he celebrates his nomination to Univision's 2016 Premio Lo Nuestro in the category for "Breakthrough Artist Of The Year".
Hitting #1 on radio 2 times in one year and also receiving the 2 nominations that same year brought attention from all major record labels in the U.S., Sanchez signs a recording agreement with Sony Music Latin in February of 2016.
His 3rd single entitled "Vas A Entender" (You Are Going To Understand) composed by Rolf Sánchez, Guianko Gómez, and Efraín Dávila, was released in October of 2016 on all digital music platforms internationally, as well as on radio in the United States and Puerto Rico, it quickly climbed the charts to garner Rolf his 3rd consecutive single to reach #1 on Billboard Magazine’s "Tropical Airplay" chart.
